Chevrolet Ad "Balloon Man" - Among Top 50 Ads Around The World

My Chevy ad is selected among the top 50 entries around the world.
This is the only ad film to be selected from India by Chevrolet.

One of these Chevrolet ad will run at US Super Bowl Basketball Tournament (at halftime), this spot costs millions of dollars to Chevrolet.

All selected entries are now posted on MSN website for public viewing and voting :-(.

Voting: This is one activity which i cant (asocial)....wont i.e. beg unknown/hardly known people/associates to watch my film and vote (sorry i am cynic to the core...for me people hardly have anytime for themselves all their lives...they are not interested in u...they are interested in their own pleasures of life -> Mahesh Bhatt knows this).

It was a very tiring effort to shoot the ad with minimum resources and non actors but i somehow managed and with God's grace it has come out well.

I liked the description given for the ad by Chevrolet:

Wow!!! -> Won Chevrolet production grant.
The deal was to submit a script for a 30s ad for Chevy and if get selected MOFILM would help grant the film.
I submitted 3 scripts and ultimately 1 of them was provided the grant.

Actually i thought that lot of people from India would have won the grant but it wasn't the case, only 5-6 people were selected from India and total around 137 people were provided the grant.

This stat has motivated me to make the film for Chevy and i would be making it very soon.

Wow this video just won fourth position @ Pepsi Goa Film Festival.
This is actually the first creative effort between me and my brother....and i am glad that it has won.

My brother dedicatedly shot all the footage and we have edited them together to submit our entry...We knew the video was good...but winning a spot in top five...Made Our Day!!!

Moreover our parents were elated by this news, Especially my dad who never really shows his emotions was very happy...May be cause of the cash prize {and love - i know}...

Fyi...As per my dad earning money is the most important thing in life - No Creativity without Money - and unfortunately as I get older (why ???) i have started to understand (and believe) that my dad actually has a point (see life corrupts you)...

Oh man this movie has made it to the Official Selection of France Mobile Film Festival...they have selected 51 movies from all over the world in award category - and this one has made it.

At first 300 movies were selected from movies submitted all over the world (i don't know the total number...but seems pretty high) as part of First Selection List and then out of these 300 - finally 51 made it to the final Official category selection list.

Parad(b)ox is my take on a very serious problem that we face everywhere in world....made this movie with my Nokia N70 phone and i am glad that it came out good (at least for me and the French jury).

Made this movie in my friends house...the fact is that when u have no resources other than a mobile phone and a room and some friends and a sunday....U really need to think as to how to fit ur idea within the given constraints.

The good thing is that the movie has been selected in a festival and that too France ( Country is called Father of Cinema)....for me this news is equivalent to winning the festival.

The winning film will be selected by Jury and Public - This film has French telecom as partner and they will ask people to watch and vote for the movie they like most....and this is where my film wont score....as people will vote for friends and stuff...

But all thats OK with me...I am happy with what i got...

This ad is really awesome for advertising unlimited SMS plan for any mobile company (here i have used airtel as i am an Airtel user).

CONCEPT :: well if u cant make out the concept ... the hand has a plaster on the thumb ...now try SMSing without using your thumb and you will understand .....in this case the user has SMSed so much that his thumb has been fractured but still he/she wants more and supports the plan( though now ,while explaining the concept I suppose it will be very difficult for an average user to understand)

I thought of explaining it in the poster itself .....but i didnt found any suitable words to do justice to the subject , sometimes i think the current poster's are enough to explain (not sure , ......in a dilemma). Suggestions needed.

I think a marketing expert's suggestion will be highly useful...are you listening Puru!

A post after a long time and thanks 1.618 for reminding me , actually all this stuff needs time , ideas , hardwork..............and I was a bit lazy all these days , thats why no post........but now since morning i am working on the ideas i had with me for quite a few days ...........I have made three posters today ................and they were tough........i had to also write a cobol code for which my PM bugged me the whole day .......but the posters took the priority , as when i am in a mood to make them ,i dont generally like to do something else.

So this was the first poster i made 2day.............for PLAYBOY, which i think is not so bad.......nor its much good either but the photo of the child is good.

CONCEPT: Well this child has been given punishment and is standing outside his class .........he is cought with a playboy magazine and thats what i wanted to convey with the post.

With better graphics the concept may look much cooler.

This poster is for Apple , it is perfect for their tagline "Think different" and this is what the poster exactly convey....i have seen many apple ads and would rate this ad as one of the best ( not cause i have made it , ofcourse thats a reason too) ,, but seriously it is one of the better ones.

This is an ad for society magazine , i had seen old ads in magazines and tried to make one....these kind of print ads were common in 80's where the background was white ( anyways i love white background too),
I dont like it much but this is what comes to my mind at the moment so...

Concept of the ad- The concept is that birds sitting on the top of the tree are kind of high society ladies chit chatting.......concept is good execution is bad.

Hope to improve.

This one is for GOOGLE, I was struck for ideas for few days now and didnt knew what to do next , I had shot this photo during Yatra and thought of making something out of it I visit google nearly 20 times a day and thats when .....here it is google all the way..............this looks good conveys the idea fully....again if someone ask's me How Do I feel , not bad but still lot can be done..........unsatisfied.

This one is for NIKE , actually most of the time when i was making this poster , i was not satisfied ........cause it wasnt just coming as good as the idea was , i was not able to make the Nike logo correctly , once i thought that the poster looked too blank.............some more things needed to be added to it............. i was really exhausted giving my two full days in making this poster and still the result was far below expectations................but now as i am about to load this entry to my blog (as i was just tired of working on it , just wanted it out of my system, as they say) i fell that it is actually not as bad , infact it looks just fine.

CONCEPT---------------

well the concept is cool , if anyone can follow this JUST DO IT caption to T it has to be ants , and this is what i want to convey with this poster ..........this is infact one of my best creations so faar ( concept wise).

I think another tagline for this ad can be : LETS DO IT.
